I swear you to you, sometimes I have EVERY. INTENTION. Of doing a nice, clean scrapbook page… and a mixed media page just POPS out!
In this case, I started putting together a page about my LOVE for BOOKS (appropriate for the two kits I used!) and then I just started journaling and … a mixed media page popped out! It’s not hard to do, when adding all of the lovely painty bits in both of these kits (I’ll admit, I used every last one of the paint elements from BOTH kits.) and just loving how they look on the page! The colors go so well together, and the stickers and journaling even work off of each other! And even though my journaling got a liiiiitle dark, it was nice to offset that with some happy colors!
A tip for combining some backgrounds for you — I wanted to go another step further and add some “artsy bits” for the very background too, and the heart pattern from Love List was perfect… but I fell in love with the light blue from Bookish… So I combined the two! I layered the doodle heart on top of the blue paper, and then adjusted the opacity to where I liked it!
