10 Ideas for Faithful Creativity during this Quarantine!

Already not sure what to do with yourself or your family during this time? Check below for 10 ways to be creative and faithful in your time “stuck” at home! Most are great for the whole family, or just you!

(This will be updated with more links as I go! Please note, some of these may be affiliate links, but I am only recommending things that I have done/read personally!)

  1. Make a Prayer Ring! You KNOW I love to make these prayer rings! Check out my playlist on YouTube for several different ideas!

  2. Catch up on devotionals/books/faithful classes you’re behind on! What a great time to read/go through all of the devotionals you’ve printed/haven’t finished! All caught up? Try a new devotional series!

Living by Design-– they have many FREE emailed devotional series: https://livingbydesign.org/

Creative Faith Co: Hillary has a TON of free devotionals and bible studies, but also some REALLY awesome ones that come with printables. Support her, she’s amazing!

Other Devotionals/Authors I’m looking forward to catching up on:

    Beth Moore: https://amzn.to/2vwx1ha
    Priscilla Shirer: https://amzn.to/39YBYOM
(Related: Have you seen “War Room”? Fantastic movie, and maybe you create a “war room” or a “war binder” for this troubling time! https://amzn.to/2x38qB3)

  3. Join a Prayer Challenge! Sign up for Allie’s FREE one here: https://alliescraps.ck.page/4d668ed5b2 Every day, for 7 days, you’ll get an email with a prompt,a video, and a free printable!

  4. Watch “old” sermons. My church, Crossroads Church, is going through a great series on Joseph! https://www.crossroadswired.com/messages

  5. Work on your creative lettering! These are some books that I use and love to improve my “fun” handwriting: https://amzn.to/2WjdnQy

  6. Make a quarantine notebook/journal! Grab a simple composition notebook or a stack of blank papers and a binder and journal your feelings out! Decorate if you want, or just …. write! Here’s one of my favorite pinterest boards to collect ideas to for this kind of journal/smash book/junk journal : https://pin.it/5n6bTSS
Note: this would be a great idea for everyone in the family– give everyone their own notebook to write out feelings and thoughts during this time!

  7. Take some classes! Lots of artists and museums are doing “lives” on their facebook pages FOR FREE! Or, if you want to support artists and creators (yes, yes, yes, please do!) purchase a class!

I recommend: Encourage God’s Word Conference: http://bit.ly/EGWC-Allie * (I am a presenter and affiliate, but I love it and you get $30+ worth of stuff JUST from me!)

Author/Artist Mo Wilems is doing a live drawing class every day on his YouTube channel: https://youtu.be/RmzjCPQv3y8

Sojo Academy is going to be doing lives everyday starting next week– go “like” them for more details, or check here: https://sojoacademy.com/join-sojo/ (Sojo is free through the end of the month!)

  8. Try a new craft or technique!
Here’s my “DIY TO DO” Pinterest board for ideas! : https://pin.it/4EXfBic (Please note: order supplies online or “shop your stash” if you can. Please do not go out!)

  9. Use coloring books or pages for meditation or to just keep your hands busy and creative! Arabah Joy has a great blog post about how to use these in your bible journaling! https://arabahjoy.com/bible-journaling-coloring-pages/

  10. Write/decorate lunchbox notes for ministries feeding kids lunches, or letters to nursing homes for those who can’t have visitors! Spread some joy and comfort! Here’s a video on how I made some “lunch box prayers” on my YouTube channel: https://youtu.be/RK4AlAWbvB0
