Scrapbook Page | Show Me Your Brave

I’ve been trying to make an effort lately to not just pin inspirational projects, images, or layouts… and then promptly forget about them.  Instead, I’m trying to search back through my pins when I need a boost of inspiration and use layouts and DIY projects as a jumping off point to jump start my creativity   This  layout has been on my radar for a while, so  I decided to finally put my own spin on it. Just because you’re inspired by a page doesn’t mean you have to “scraplift” it directly–  my end page ended up looking very different from the original page.

The (very little) journaling/title on the page is a quote from my “song mantra” right now from the song “Brave” by Sara Bareilles.  It’s been on repeat this week—and I feel a rough couple weeks coming on, so I’m not anticipating it going anywhere.
I tend to jump back and forth on styles when I scrapbook—one day I’m super linear and clean, and then next, it’s an explosion of glitter and paint.  I love both styles and try to let them play nicely together in my albums.
Do you use Pinterest as an inspiration source? Have you actually completed any pages or project inspired by Pinterest?  What’s YOUR song mantra right now?
